Welcome to my blog!
My name is Mrs Geography (aka K.Peppin).
I completed my Geography PGCE at Edge Hill University in 2013 and at present I am currently employed as Second in Department for Geography in a High School and Sixth Form College.
I was inspired to pursue Geography as a teaching subject from my own high school Geography teacher, based on her constant encouragement and determination which promoted my own love and passion for the subject! I just hope I have done her proud.
I am an extremely energetic and enthusiastic Geography teacher, a fellow ‘tweeter’ or ‘tweacher’ (@Mrs_Geography) and have also written for Teaching Geography, Summer 2016 – Which country has the longest coastline?
My true passion is to inspire the next generation of Geographers by making their classroom learning environment as enjoyable as possible. As a committed practitioner I aspire to try, share and adapt both new and existing teaching and learning ideas, all of which can be accessed through this blog where I aim to regularly upload strategies, as well as a few extras.
I use this blog as a platform to share resources I have used and/or created. Although I use this blog to share ideas that I believe have been successful in my teaching practice, beware some may not work the same for you.
I also share additional teaching and learning ideas from other bloggers and tweeters out there through twitter, which can also be found at the bottom and right hand side of this blog.
I hope you find this blog useful, and dare I say inspiring!
